The University school of Mass Communication organized a five day photo workshop, which was both enriching and a good experience for all the participants for learning the basic and the minute details of doing photography. As the number of seats was fixed, the students were selected according to a procedure were they had to write in 15 words why they were interested in the workshop.

The first two day of the workshop was done under Prof. Vinay Shankar who acknowledged the students with the basics of photography like panning, zoom burst, composition. The next two days workshop where the students learned under Amitabh Bhattacharya who along with basics also told the students about the development of camera, the conditions required for clicking a photograph. The 5th was a photo walk, in which the students went to Mehrauli Archological park, from the university itself and learned other details under Amitabh Bhattacharya and Vinay Shankar. It was a practical workshop, explained through various examples rather than theoretical. The experience was beneficial not only for the new comers but also for the students who practiced it daily.
